Duo Kara is a collaboration between Kathrin Wagner and Armin Taeschner, a Berlin based hoop manipulation duo. Tug-of-War is Duo Kara’s first piece, which shows their constant play with and negotiation of power. The playful manipulation of each other on a physical level, as well as each other’s interaction with the hoops creates a unique tension and serves as communicative tool between the artists. This spicy performance attracts the audience to watch the evolving story of their rivalry up to its escalation and final resolution with excitement.
